What is a water mist fire extinguisher?
Water mist fire extinguishers have a specially designed nozzle that creates a mist curtain that diminishes the oxygen supply fuelling the fire, extinguishing the flames. Additionally, it forms a highly efficient cooling layer over the burning material, effectively preventing re-ignition. They are suitable for extinguishing A, B, and C type fires, including live electrical equipment, as it has been tested up to 35,000 volts and contains only de-ionized water, which does not conduct electricity. These units are well-suited for various settings such as in the home, offices, nurseries, schools, churches, HMOs, and areas where a messy discharge would pose a problem. Water mist fire extinguishers contain only de-ionised water, meaning that no harmful chemicals are released into the environment on discharge.
