CO2 Fire Extinguishers
Our CO2 Fire Extinguishers (carbon dioxide extinguishers) are ideal for offices with electrical equipment, as CO2 gas does not conduct electricity and does not leave any residue.
The extinguishers come fully charged and are supplied with a wall bracket. Important: Our 2kg CO2 extinguishers with horn are equipped with double-walled frost-free horns, which prevent freeze-burns on your hands. The horn of the 5kg CO2 extinguisher, being much larger, features a double-walled handle to allow the horn to be directed safely and removing the need to touch the horn itself.

Frost free horn
CO2 extinguishers
CO2 extinguishers are used on liquid fuel fires such as petrol and liquifying plastics and increasingly for electronic and electric equipment such as computers and fuse boards. CO2 extinguishers leave no residue and cause only minimum harm of electronic equipment.
On these units CO2 is expelled with great force which is the reason why CO2 extinguishers cannot be used on pan fires, though, as the jet would carry the burning oil out of the fat pan or deep fat fryer! Make sure you buy CO2 extinguishers with frost free horns, as the expanding CO2 gas might damage your skin as you are holding the horn or hose.
Frost free horn
Our CO2 extinguishers all feature frost free horns which shield your hand from the freezing cold of the expanding CO2 gas. If you hold on to the horn of a CO2 extinguisher without frost free horn, your skin can get damaged by the freezing cold of the horn.
When looking for CO2 extinguishers the horn is often overlooked. Bear in mind how much it would cost should you have replace a standard non-frost free horn.
